Ballyloughan Ponies

Ballyloughan Scotch Mist - 123cms

Dukeshill Rainman – Tinkerbelle

We wanted to “downsize” our stick so having had great success with a Sec B stallion we decided to try a Sec A.  We found Dukeshill Rainman by Dukeshill Action Man at Muskerry Pony stud in Cork and borrowed him for a season.  The foal nicknamed “Angus” is a real hunter type and is now in his third ridden year having started with lead rein and progressed to first ridden.  He has already collected championships and is gaining success.

Ballyloughan Magic Moon - Sec A

Heniarth Yetholm – Bengad Racemosa

A very pretty grey welsh yearling with excellent bloodlines.  Has done well in the show ring and shows potential to be an excellent lead rein.

Ballyloughan Subadah Major - 128cms

Moorhall Miniature – Tinkerbelle

Suba was Tinkerbelle’s first foal.  Backed and ridden at home for a season he was then sold to Ireland and continued his winning ways getting 1st at Dublin Horse Show.  We hope he is still successful and giving pleasure to his current owners.

Ballyloughan Brig O' Doon - 133cms

Cottrell Merrymaker (Sec B) – Tinkerbelle

Two years later “Jock” arrived the first of the part bred ponies.  He was a true starter stakes hunter and became one of the most successful 133cms ponies in Ireland.  He won several Welsh Performance medals and overall Irish Bred Pony.  Great movement and a lovely temperament Jock was shown until he was sadly outgrown when he was sold on to England.

Ballyloughan Highland Fling - 128cms

Rotherwood Peter Rabbit – Tinkerbelle

Born on St. Patrick’s Day 2000 she was named Patsy and since we had sent Tinkerbelle to the Waxwing Stud to be covered by Peter Rabbit we decided she should have a “Highland Fling”.  She had a very successful in hand career but when she was backed, as we did not have a rider, she was sold to England.  Lucky enough to be produced by Stanley Grange Stud where she qualified for HOYS as a 4yr old.

Ballyloughan Heatherbells

Dukeshill Rainman (Sec A) - Tinkerbelle

Bella is the last of Tinkerbelles progeny.  She is very striking with four white sock. She is now two years old but was sold on as yearling.  Hopefully she will also have great success in the show ring.
